No Internet! What will I do?

This is what greeted me on Sunday morning

Red light means no internet!
Oh no!  what shall I do?

I don't know what was sadder ........... me having no internet, or the need to take a photo and blog about it  later when I was back up and running ;-)

It was only down for an hour - scheduled maintenance.

Halfway mark - UnstampaBelles Challenge #6 - Christmas

It is the halfway point for Challenge #6 UnstampaBelles.

The Theme this month is Christmas and the Bonus Technique is Stickers, if you include this technique, you will get a bonus entry.

This challenge closes Friday, 30th December 2011 and Winners announced Monday, 2nd January 2012 - Remember we are working on Aussie Time.

Here is a quick recap of the rules:

No Stamps! This means no rubber stamps, no digital stamps, clipart or line art which includes pre-coloured versions. Inclusive of sentiment stamps.

You may think this will be difficult, but here are some suggestions on what you CAN use:
3D papertole, decoupage, quilling, iris folding, stitching, beading, origami, fancy folds, cutting machines (e.g. craftrobo/silhouette, cricut), paper punches, canvases, stickers, rub-ons, parchment, etc.......

Due to graphic technology any entry with a graphic image will be subject to the Design Teams' discretion and we will contact you if we feel the entry does not meet the ethos of our challenge blog.

A technique challenge will be included as a bonus.  This will not be a requirement for an entry but if you do use the nominated technique in your project, it will count as two entries for you.

Our sponsor for December is Sticker Store.

Prize pack plus 10 sheets of DL sized Acetate which don't show in the above photo.

Now for my cards to help provide some inspiration - although going by some of the entries already received, no further inspiration is required LOL  ;-).

These cards were made at a workshop that Beth held a few years ago.  I enjoyed the day very much, but also enjoyed learning a new way to use stickers and glitter paper.  Whilst it may be difficult to get these particular stickers now, the principle could be applied using other shapes.

Imagine how it could be incorporated with some Christmas Bauble stickers, or even a wedding card ........... the mind boggles ;-)

These cards were made using some clear christmas tree stickers, glitter paper and white cardstock.  Stickers were layered onto glitter paper, cut out and mounted using foam dots.  Sentiment was a gold sticker, but coloured over using a black texta/marker.  Overall, a very simple process that produces a really sparkly card!

Cardstock and glitter paper and sentiment stickers were from Blue Edge Crafts

And, be sure to pop on over and say farewell to three of our fabulous Design Team Members - Mandy, Kerry and Kaye - who are all heading off in a variety of directions in the New Year.

Well, here is another batch of cards - using the same images from Digistamp Boutique, but placed on standard size cards.

I spent the afternoon making a batch of Christmas cards yesterday.

I am really enjoying colouring in these images from Digistamp Boutique.  I have used copics and kindy glitz, with a touch of gel pen to highlight the buckle.

Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary & Merry Christmas

We had a family celebration yesterday for my SIL and BIL birthdays and wedding anniversary.

We also had our first opportunity to catch up with the Bride and Groom - they have returned from their honeymoon and they are now back in the 'real world' ;-)

I gave RosaLia some money, but placed it in a gift card holder (that I made of course ;-))

Here is the card I made for RosaLia

Penny Black image coloured with water pencils and highlighted with Kindy Glitz, layered onto cardstock, embellished with flowers and gems.
I have been reusing old supplies in an endeavour to lessen my stash - I have so much paper it is just not funny any more ;-)

Here is the card for Greg

I used an image I came across paper squirrel and an SVG from The Creative Pointe - it came together beautifully - I can easily see me using this concept again ;-)  This one has been coloured with Copics, layered using foam dots and mounted onto square black cardstock.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Clean and Simple - inspired by  sketch 168
Here come the boys - men in your life

It was also Greg and RosaLia's 21st wedding anniversary.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Less is More - a bit of bling
Quirky Cards - clean and simple

Lauren and Brett will be spending Christmas with mum, Sharon, overseas, so we gave them Christmas presents and cards early.

I made these cute little Christmas cards using images from Digistamp Boutique - hurry they are still on special until the end of the month.  Images printed onto cardstock, cut out using spellbinders on the cuttlebug, hand coloured with copics and highlighted with kindy glitz - stay turned, there will be more cards using these delightful images ;-)

I would like to enter these Christmas cards for the following challenges:
Pollycraft Monday - Christmas Fun
Stamptacular Sunday 140 - anything Christmas
Forever Friends - christmas is coming - OOPS ....... Too late ;-)

Hi everyone **waves**

I hope you are having a good day ;-)

I have had the most wonderful honour of being a Guest Designer for Cardmadfairy for the month of November and here is my second card.

We hope you will play along with us this week but please remember that you must use a digi stamp although it's not necessary to use a Cardmadfairy one but it would be fantastic to see how you would use our images. This fortnight, the theme is Winter Wonderland - as soon as I saw the theme, I knew exactly what DP/vellum I was going to use ;-)

I used the Buttons Snowman image and printed on white dimple textured cardstock and coloured with watercolour pencils, heat embossed the nose, and added kindy glitz to the hat.  Image was then matted onto purple cardstock. Side panel is pearl cardstock embossed using the Snowflakes folder in the Cuttlebug, then mounted onto 'Winter Wonderland' vellum, all layered onto soft purple square card.  Card highlighted with gems and snowflake cut using the CraftROBO.

Check out Cardmadfairy - they have some wonderfully cute digital images.

More Inspiration for UnstampaBelles Challenge & Design Team Call

Now for some more inspiration on cards not using stamps:

Cuttlebug used to cut and emboss trees, embellished with gems, layered onto cardstock and highlighted with stickers.

UNSTAMPABELLES DESIGN TEAM CALL

Yes, we are in search of three new members for our Design Team to start January 2012 for a six month stint.

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mandy, Kerry and Kaye at the end of our December challenge. They already know that 2012 is going to keep them plenty busy in real life but I am sure they will still find time to visit in the future. We will miss their wonderful inspiration.

On a positive note though....this now gives you the chance to part of our fun and friendly team.

We will require a creation from you each month to showcase at the start of each challenge.

If you have the time possibly a second card during the month to keep the inspiration flowing.

What to do to be considered:

Please just add a link to the DT CALL post of a project that you have posted (current or older) on your blog that will fit our challenge criteria.

Remember, all types of papercrafts and any technique....but NO STAMPS.

Our call will stay open until 12th December.

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I hope you have a good day.
