Merry Christmas to you all

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.

Christmas Eve will be spent with the husband's family, and Christmas Day with my family - how good is that!

Our Christmas Table
I didn't have enough of the one dinner set to complete 7 settings, so I mixed and matched ;-)

I love my Royal Albert, Old Country Roses

It works nicely with the Maxwell Williams White Gold

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ;-)

2 down, 2 to go

two kittens in the cage - they were so very quiet - now they are in the capable hands of the Animal Welfare League - they are beautiful, I am sure they will find a new home.

now there is just the black & white one and the mother left - will try to catch them tomorrow morning - it is too hot this afternoon to have them trapped in a cage.

Tuesday Treasures

Over HERE Melody is hosting Tuesday Treasures.

This week Melody has showcased a beautiful clock - such a pretty thing ;-)

My treasure is a Sarah Kay mirror picture given to me by my sister for my 16th Birthday in 1976.
It is in my craft room and I get to see it every day.
In January this year, I discoverd a range of Sarah Kay stamps.  I am hoping to increase my collection real soon ;-)

Kitten Watch

I only got a glimpse of the other kittens on Sunday morning, but have not seen them since - I hope nothing has happened to them ;-(

The trap will be set tomorrow and hopefully, they will find new homes with the Animal Welfare League.

Be vewwy vewwy qwiet ....... we are hunting kittens

Mother Cat
We have a stray cat in our yard - it has been hanging around for a few weeks.  Hubby first noticed the cat about 4 weeks ago.  I noticed it in the back yard about 3 weeks ago.  Two weeks ago I saw it 'pacing' and meowing along the back fence, so I went to investigate - saw nothing.  Then the next morning all was revealed - 3 kittens (2 black, 1 black & white)

Mother cat has since moved the kittens from the back yard to the front yard - we have no fence, so the fear of them getting run over by a car is great.

the smallest kitten - Kitten No. 3
We have hired a cat trap in the the hope of catching mum & the kittens, so that we can take them to the Animal Welfare League.

The emotional side of me would like to keep one, but the sensible side of me says 'no'.  We had cats many years ago, and don't want to go through that again ;-(

Happy Birthday Sister ;-)

Happy Birthday to my sister, Barbara

I made this card following the Penny Black sketch challenge yesterday, but was too late to post it
by only 75 minutes **sad face**

I made a matching gift voucher holder too

A lovely flower in my garden

Just love the size of this cactus flower - it is about the same size as a side plate (10/12 cm or 6-7 inches)

Creative Friday ;-)

I managed to have some real creative time on Friday.

I finished one part of my sewing swap for CraftMad - we have to make two material luggage tags

unfortunately, I can only show a snippet of it, as I haven't sent it yet.

This swap is way overdue for me - I had the material cut out for quite a while, but could not actually get to sewing it up, mostly because I was unsure if it would actually work. It is my own design, but my measurements & cutting were way off and it has not come together as I would hope. Unfortunately, some of the links provided in the swap information did not work for me ;-( but I have since been able to get back to one of the links and will use that info for the second luggage tag. So hang in there, Merry, I haven't forgotten you ;-)

I also spent time in my sewing room sorting out fabrics - an easy way to get distracted for a few hours ;-)

see my My Sewing Room for pics.

I managed to complete a label/tag for an Anniversary present for my BIL & SIL 20th Wedding Anniversary.  This tag fits in with the current Lily of the Valley challenge of glitter & glitz and the Copic Oz challenge of feathering.

It does not show up too much on the photo, but the hair is feathered with two different colours.

Here is what the images look like without the glitz - a bit sad don't you think :-((

This is what is inside the package

B&B book celebrating 20 years

I know the present is really for my SIL, but I have included a voucher so that BIL does not feel too left out.
I am a bit of a fan myself, and my fave characters were Thorne & Darla.
I almost don't want to give to her - but I am sure she will let me read it when I want ;-)

Postman always knocks twice ;-)

well my postie knocks and then rings the bell ;-)

I have had some goodies delivered for the craft room and am hoping to get some stamping done real soon.

I have been wanting some LOTV stamps for quite a while now, so I finally bit bullet and ordered some from the UK.

I also took advantage of the high Aussie dollar and got some WOJ stamps from USA – I am still waiting on them to arrive.

I recently bought some stamps and ribbons from Blue Edge Crafts - such quick service!

Now to find some time to craft ;-)
